For many of us, these were the first Bible stories we heard about God. Week after week in Sunday school, they formed the foundation of our childlike faith.
But somewhere along the way, we moved on.
We didn’t always go back.
Ten years ago, our team did.
We launched a sermon series called His Story—not just to re-tell these familiar Bible stories, but to see them with fresh eyes.
Pastor Alan made a shift. He went from preparing sermons alone to preparing with a team. We began reading the Bible together-asking deeper questions, sitting with tough topics, and learning to leave space for the unexpected.
That shift changed everything.
It wasn’t just about preparing sermons.
Week after week, it became a space where we prepared our hearts—together.
