A Real Adversary
From the beginning of creation, our adversary sought to oppose the work of God, imitate the work of God and destroy all that is good. Satan is REAL, he seeks destruction. God is REAL, he offers protection and a life more abundant (John 10:10). The scriptures advise us to be sober and vigilant (1 Peter 5:8), take up the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:13-17), put on the breastplate of faith and love, the helmet of salvation (1 Thessalonians 5:6-8) and to stand firm. Stand firm. Choose truth over lies. Stand firm. Choose restoration over destruction. Stand firm. Look past the earthly storm and fix your hope on the promise that nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39).

    Disciples Of Jesus: Armor Up
In Paul's Letter to the Ephesians, he urges them to put on the WHOLE armor of God. As he describes each piece of armor and the protection it offers, we see the significance of this analogy for those living under the Roman Empire but also its relevance to our daily spiritual life. God provides this protection for believers, however we need to "put on' (v11) and "take up" (v13) this armor to receive the power of His protection. Let us encourage each other to 1) maintain the armor of God DAILY, 2) deny self DAILY, 3) take up the cross DAILY 4) be filled with the spirit DAILY & 5) rise up DAILY.

    Thankfulness Through Communion
In Ezekiel 34 we explore the character of God, specifically His GOODNESS. Ezekiel portrays God as a good shepherd and identifies God's promises. As we remember God in His goodness, we can rest in His promises to: seek us out, feed us, meet us where we are, provide blessing and most importantly, know Him more. As we experience this goodness, individually and as a body of Christ, may our hearts respond with thankfulness.
