Biblical counseling is provided as a service to regular attendees of our church free of charge and to others in the community on a case-by-case basis. My primary strategies are Biblical, cognitive-behavioral and emotion focused. Bible teaching is foundational because “all who follow His precepts have good understanding” Ps 111:10 (NIV). Cognitive-behavioral strategies address the truth that how people think determines how circumstances affect them and how to change destructive patterns. Emotion focused strategies help people identify the sources and consequences of destructive emotional responses and learn to manage and redirect emotions in ways that are constructive and healthy. Although I will draw from various schools of thought, all counseling will be consistent with scripture. Biblical thinking is the way to spiritual and emotional health. It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will guide you and that the peace that only God can give will increase in your life.
